Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Switch off and unplug the appliance before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work. Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Do not use soap or detergent as the smell may linger. Dry thoroughly. For external cleaning, wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water.
Dust Management
An accumulation of dust will affect the performance of the appliance and cause excessive electricity consumption. Once or twice a year, dust the condenser (black grill) and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner.
Defrosting
Your appliance is designed to be frost-free, so there's no need to manually defrost it. Ensure this automatic feature is functioning by regularly checking that the freezer compartment is not accumulating frost.
Correct Placement
The appliance must not be located close to cookers, radiators, or boilers, and should be kept away from direct sunlight. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance to promote efficient cooling.
Proper Usage
Do not store other electrical appliances inside the refrigerator and avoid refreezing food once it has thawed. The appliance is designed for domestic use only and should be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
